Holzgasse, Kremsleithen & Kerschbaum

The Holzgasse vineyard is situated below the Krems plateau, which stretches between Gneixendorf and Senftenberg and is bisected by the Stratzinger Straße. This wind-exposed site, characterized by deep loess soils, produces expressive, elegant wines. The Kremsleithen vineyard is divided into two sections. The upper section, bordering the plateau, is defined by a high proportion of loess and old Danube gravel conglomerate – hence the presence of Grüner Veltliner. Our vineyards here are distinguished not only by their terroir but also by the exceptional age of the vines. Some vines are over 100 years old and planted so closely together that, despite their location on the plain, we can only cultivate them by hand.
