Zweigelt | St. Laurent

The vineyards all benefit from a cooler microclimate, as they are located in Egelsee, the Holzgasse vineyard, and the Kerschbaum vineyard in Krems. In the Satzn vineyard in Egelsee, crystalline granulite weathered soil is gently overlain by sandy elements. The Holzgasse & Kerschbaum vineyard lies below the Krems plateau, which stretches between Gneixendorf and Senftenberg. In the Kerschbaum and Holzgasse vineyards, not only Grüner Veltliner but also our Zweigelt thrives on the sandy-loamy soil. The soil's excellent nutrient availability and water retention capacity impart an elegant fruitiness and a charming character.
